Alec Ross, Senior Advisor on Innovation to Secretary of State Hillary Rodham Clinton, and Daniel Baer, Deputy Assistant Secretary of State in the Bureau of Democracy, Human Rights, and Labor, participated in an online discussion hosted by Facebook DC on how people around the world have been empowered by social media. Alec and Daniel talked about themes addressed during Secretary Clinton's February 15 speech on internet freedom as well as related issues we face as global citizens in an increasingly networked and borderless world.
